Taking a Custom Preset:

Sometimes, designer also prefer to take his own custom presets that is also depend on his project’s measurement and type etc.

So, once agree to work with new custom preset just click on Ctrl+N or go File>New. A New Document panel will appear that demands some important detail from you as:

Name:

From name, you have to type the current project name so type the name of your project.

Width & Height:

In ‘Width’ option, you type your required width value in many units as in Inches, Pixel, Centimeter, Millimeter, Picas and Points etc. From here, you type your width value besides same as in Height option type height value for a project. 

Orientation:

In Orientation, you select whether your project is like Landscape or Portrait which is totally depend on your project you’re going to work on. 

Resolution:

In New Adobe Photoshop Canvas Panel, the next option is Resolution that is one of main option of Adobe Photoshop CC New Canvas. Resolution is the number of box/pixel that how much will be display in a project.

If you’ll keep Resolution high, the project will look clear even from closer look and when it print out, it will be clear and smooth also from the edges.

Color Mode:

Next option is about Color Mode of Adobe Photoshop New Canvas. Here some Color Modes like Bitmap, Grayscale, RGB, CMYK and Lab color are available. RGB color mode is a combination of three colors such Red, Green, and Blue. 

So, RGB combination develops colorful graphics even there are all color required to use on a project.

Note: RGB Color Mode is best used for screen and web base intention. So, if you have dream for web base objective you make choice of RGB combination.

Bitmap is a combination of black and white colors displays Pixel value in an object. Created by Bitmap mode objects are called bitmapped 1-bit objects due to its 1 bit depth.

Grayscale Mode is placed that consists of various grey shades. There may be 256 grey shades in 8 bit image and all grayscale pixel has own brightness value.

Note: Bitmap and Greyscale color modes are used for black and white scene because these build object using grey, black and white shades.  

CMYK Color Mode consists of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (Black) color. CMYK is a Color Mode use in print media with the combination of four inks Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. 

LAB Color Mode is a lightness color channel (L) that can range from 0 to 100. It specifies a color using a 3-axis system. A channel consist of color information from Green to Red. Moreover, B channel consist of information about Blue to Yellow.

Note: The LAB Color Mode is mostly using in Color Reference, Photography and Branded products purposes.

Background Contents:

In Adobe Photoshop New Canvas Panel, the next is Background Contents setting where some options like about background White, Black, Background Color and Transparent are positioned.  

Advanced Options:

Next in Advanced Options, there is color setting available you can work on your required color profile. Here are some Colors Profiles placed as RGB, Adobe RGB, Apple RGB and Color Match RGB etc. you can work on as you are required.
